Here are audio files of our last concert
Here's the big one! I have been approached by World projects for us to do a joint concert with a group coming in from Switzerland on Sunday June 2nd, 2024. We would have an entire half to ourselves on a program of our choosing. The location is at the Memorial Hall, at Montclair University, N.J.
The main positives in a nutshell.
* They can do all the promotion
* They supply all needed equipment.
* We would get to work with a premier ensemble from Europe.
* Most of all, World Projects handles concert tours and scheduling for Carnegie, Lincoln Center, and other venues locally and around the world. If we impress it could lead to playing more concerts where this group is meant to play.
Question: If we provide transportation from SHS to the theater and back, do you want to do this important joint concert? I just need to know if you would never be interested in doing this, so I can tally an approximate total. Even if we lose some members, as long as we are presented well, we'll be doing this concert. Please, I need to know immediately on this!
I appreciate you all taking this in and addressing!
More coming!
Charlie
This is a biggie and time sensitive! I have to say, I am getting a bit worried at this time regarding our program ads. We are WAY behind any previous year and time is passing. Thism right now is our major way of funding the ensemble as we do not charge dues and admission to our performances are free. The ads pay for all our printing needs for a year and usually has left over so we get to buy new music. PLEASE! Try to get some ads purchased, both new AND if you had contact with someone who took out an ad last year, please try to get them to renew! We will maintain the courtesy early bird pricing to try to stimulate sales.
Remember, they take out one ad and they get in the season program, which appears in a minimum of four concerts! If you have questions, let me know, but the form is attached if you need one.
